Jenny is a Delaware native, University of Delaware graduate, and mom to four children currently enrolled in Red Clay Consolidated School District. A devoted community advocate and former educator, she brings nearly a decade of classroom experience as a teacher and reading specialist in both Colonial and Red Clay school districts.
Jenny holds a BA in Elementary Education from the University of Delaware, an MA in Educational Technology from Wilmington University, and a second MA in Reading Education. She also earned her School Leadership Certification in the State of Delaware, serving as a team leader, state testing site coordinator, and member of Red Clay's Leadership Academy along the way. Her greatest joy in the classroom was working with students in the City of Wilmington schools.
Jenny founded the local chapter of Public School Strong Red Clay to champion equitable school funding, and co-founded a non-profit community resource, Educate Delaware. She currently serves on Red Clay's Board Policy Review Committee and the Woodland Park Civic Association Board of Directors. Jenny is also a proud supporter of growing Red Clay girls' wrestling programs.
Jenny and her husband Gary are active participants in their kids' busy lives. She always makes time to listen and build connections in the community she loves. She is running for the Red Clay School Board because families deserve honest answers, real data, and a seat at the table when decisions are made.
